About Our Temple

In 1948, Mr. M. Subburavan established the Maha Siva Muniswarar Temple. The temple houses the deities Lord Shiva and Muniswarar. Situated near the outskirts of the city, this temple attracts a large number of devotees who come to offer their prayers. In 1976, the first consecration ceremony (Kumbabishekam) took place, and subsequently, the fourth Kumbabishekam was performed in 2015. Currently, the temple conducts all its rituals with great reverence, and regular poojas are performed with special significance.

Worshipping Muniswarar is believed to bring several benefits, including,

  • protection from negativity, removal of obstacles, and overall well-being for devotees and their families. He is often seen as a guardian deity who provides strength and courage to face life's challenges.
